I was sitting at the Kingfisher hide at Sprotborough Flash on a rather misty morning. I almost did not venture too far from home but I hoped the mist would clear as I travelled along the A1. However, when I arrived at my destination it was still quite misty but I was sure it would clear. I was not disappointed. After half an hour the sun had broken through and in about another half hour the kingfisher arrived. The sun shone on its feathers and it looked stunning. Then it flew off the stick in front of the hide and went to the side to sit in a tree. This is one of the shots I took of it in the tree. I was there for a couple of hours and it came back twice. A good morning!!
